Genshin Impact is a free to play action role playing game (RPG) developed and published by Mihoyo. This game is released for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Android, and iOS. This game will also be released for Nintendo Switch but no definite date mentioned.
This game bears similarities with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in terms of the elements such as:
- Gliding mid-air using your wings just like Link uses the para-glider
- Both games utilize the cook system.
- To be able to unlock another teleport area, you need to visit the tower-like structure which is the same with Legend of Zelda: BOTW.
- Both games have similar mechanics when inside the dungeon (trials, challenges, etc.).
- You can walk on water by freezing it, quite similar when Link from BOTW activates the Cryo from the Sheikah Slate
However, Genshin Impact uses gacha system where you can play different types of characters and as I have said in the first sentence… it’s free!
The game also utilizes the co-op system where you can play with different Genshin Impact players within the server. The more friends you get, the faster you can finish the co-op quests.
So far I find the game addictive, but I advice that this must be played via PC because this game consumes a lot of battery and heat up your mobile device.
